Update on School Places

5 January 2021 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

You should have now received confirmation if your child has been offered a place in school.

It has been a challenging day processing all of the application and unfortunately we are unable to currently offer places to children who are not critical workers within the key worker category.

We have tried to limit the year group bubbles to between 12- 15 pupils and have had to create two bubbles of 9 pupils in the school for Year 1 pupils.  By doing this, we are able to have one teacher at home offering Zoom lessons and one teacher supporting the lessons in school.  This also allows for social distancing.

If you have not received an email, we have not been able to give your child a place but we have placed them on a list if anything changes.

I will keep you updated on how we are going in school and look forward to seeing as many children as possible in the daily assembly with me at 2:35pm each day.  The passcode for this will be 73886.

The meeting code will be on the webpage by tomorrow afternoon ready for the first assembly on Thursday.

Hampshire have sent additional guidance today which states:

"parents with children under the age of 14 years old are able to form a childcare bubble with one other household, for the purposes of informal childcare. This is mainly to enable parents to work and must not be used to enable social contact between adults. "

I hope that this helps to get through the next day!

Keep safe and see you all soon.

Miss Kelly Dillon
