Weekly Update

17 October 2020 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers

It has been another busy week and we have managed to dodge the wet weather.

Well done to the pupils and staff of Kathmandu Class.  Their presentation assembly yesterday was excellent and showed how focused and independent the Year 3 class are.  Thank you to all of the parents who attended and supported their children virtually.

We have launched the virtual Parents’ Evening appointments on SCOPAY.  Please do take time to make an appointment to find out how well you child is doing at school.  If you are unsure of how to use the site, please contact the school office.

We would also like to hear from families who need a device to support remote learning.  If you are in need of one, please let us know by contacting Terri Hope in the school office.  There are various schemes that we can apply for to see if you are eligible.

If your child was involved in the Voice in a Million Concert that was due to take place in March please be reassured that our aim is to participate in March next year and to include Year 7 pupils as well.  The VIAMS team are unable to refund the cost of the trip and so we are in turn unable to refund this to parents.  I will keep you updated when I hear more from the organisers.

Finally, thank you to everyone who is helping to support the school during this challenging time.  We have not had any positive tests from our school community and believe that this is because we are working together.  Long may this continue in our school.

Have a wonderful weekend.
