Dear parents and carers,
We have had an excellent week at school, despite the boiling temperatures!
It has been wonderful to see that the children are working hard both at home and at school. This has been celebrated each week in the Friday assembly. If you have not attended the assemblies, please do by checking the information of the website.
Today, we have met some of our new children who will be joining us in September. The Foundation Stage teachers have started to provide sessions for the children who are at home due to their nurseries or pre-schools being closed. It was great to see how excited they were and we look forward to seeing them each day in the same way.
We have had a few queries about educational visits including the Hindleap Warren trip for Year 6 pupils. We are working with the companies to see if we are eligible for a refund. We are also exploring options of moving the dates of trips to January onward. We believe that there may be more options for us including flexibility for parents who do not want their child to stay overnight. We will be contacting parents who have paid deposits next week to update them on the progress of moving the trip or obtaining a refund of deposits.
Finally, we are looking at options for end of year photographs and Year 6 leavers events. We are creating a plan which will involve children in school be photographed and also children from home being invited onto the field to have individual or socially distanced group photos. All of the photographs will be placed onto a mural for the Year group and will be available to buy from a professional photographer. We will provide further information over the next week.
