Weekly Update 4

2 October 2022 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

The last week has been one of gratitude and celebration.  We offer our congratulations to our first Super Citizens of the year.  These children were nominated for the kindness they have shown towards their friends and other members of the school:

Aarvi in Rome

Teddy in Warsaw

Penny in Budapest

Ikra in Madrid

Lola in Kathmandu

Renée in Ankara

Penelope in New Delhi

Brody in Canberra

Oliver in Cairo

Luke S in Lima

Kamila in Ottawa

Nairobi, London and Paris class will be announced on Monday as they did not attend the assembly on Friday.

New faces for the Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM on Thursday.  Twenty-six people attend and we are excited to announce a new burst of energy from our parents.  I’d like to announce the new leaders of the PTA:

CHAIR - Bruce Hibbert

VICE CHAIR - Becky Kitter

TREASURER - Natalia Lober

SECRETARY - James Clinch

Thank you in advance for all of the work and enthusiasm you will bring!

Harvest Festival – Monday 3rd October

Our Harvest Festival will take place on Monday.  Pupils are invited to bring in a food donation to display in the main hall.  As this may be stored for a period of time it will need to have a longer shelf life.  For example, a tinned item, dried pasta, rice or biscuits or any other item you think will last a few weeks. This will then be collected by Basingstoke Food Bank.

Parents are invited to come into school at 2:30pm to view the artwork that has been created around the theme of 'Fruit around the world'.  You will also be able to view the new Library which is soon to be officially opened.

Parents will need to enter and exit under the canopy and are able to view the work in each of the classrooms.  Choir will perform songs in the main hall.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
