Review of Zoom lessons

2 April 2020 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

We are nearing the end of the first week of Zoom lessons.  It has been a week of hidden challenges and unexpected moments of complete joy!  We still have one more day to go!

Overall, we have really enjoyed the sessions and it has been wonderful to have the opportunity to see the children, yourselves and to let them share their work with us.  There has been some incredible efforts made by the whole school community and I would personally like to thank you for being as supportive as you have been.  We have openly shared the positive comments and this has kept us going!

You may not be aware, but not all of the teachers are naturally camera confident and I am humbled by their energy and enthusiasm as I watch them perform in front of perhaps 60 pupils and parents with nowhere to hide!  Thank you to all of the staff members who have helped to make this happen!

Thank you to parents and carers for also allowing us to invade your house with our online presence.  The space you have created for your children to learn is admirable and I am sure that this period of time will not be forgotten!

The lessons will stop over the next two weeks due to the Easter holidays.  During this period, we will be planning the next few weeks of lessons and also refining our live streaming techniques, based on our experience so far.

To help us with this, please could you complete this short (only four questions) survey to let us know whether we are expecting too much from you at home or if you are happy with the amount of time spent on live lessons. You can complete the survey by clicking on the link here or by copying https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MZ6RF32 into your web browser.

If you could complete this by Sunday evening at 10pm, we can then review the results and amend the structure accordingly.

Thank you in advance and for your continued support.  Have a well-deserved rest and stay safe.  We look forward to seeing you on Zoom on Monday 20th April.

Kind regards

Miss Kelly Dillon
