Weekly Update 24

4 April 2023 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

I hope that you are enjoying the first week of the holidays and are taking time to relax or get together with friends and family.  Well done to everyone for making it through last half term with the unpredictable weather, strike days and return of the normal childhood viruses.  Despite these circumstances our attendance is still just above the National percentage (93.6%) at 94.1%.

The National Education Union have announced further industrial action following a rejection of the pay deal they were offered.  We will now begin putting together a plan for the two days which may look different to previous days when industrial action took place.

The two days are:

Thursday 27th April

Tuesday 2nd May

This is close to the Year 6 exams and so it is likely that we will prioritise learning again for these pupils.  Please do make alternative arrangements for childcare on these days in case the school is closed. We will aim to send out information once everyone returns to school on the 18th April.

In the meantime, please have a wonderful holiday and Easter celebration.  We will have ours when we return to school.

Yours sincerely

Miss Kelly Dillon
