Children's mental Health Week- after school activities

2 February 2023 (by Vicky Hopkins (vhopkins))

We are excited to be involved in Children’s Mental Health Week next week (week beginning Monday 6th February) and we will be doing activities with the children throughout the week in school to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

After school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting, we would like to invite you to join in with the following wellbeing activities with your child on the playground until 4.00. The theme of mental health week this year is ‘Together’ so we thought it would be a lovely opportunity to offer some wellbeing sessions for you to enjoy as a family.

Monday- Fitness class on the playground with Sarah and Steve (you may want to bring your trainers!)

Tuesday- Mindful Drawing (‘take your pencil for a walk’ activity on the playground)

Wednesday- Join our Wednesday Wellbeing Walk (meet in the smooga to get your wellbeing walk map and follow the trail to join in with the activities on the way. The trail includes walking on the field so you may want to bring trainers)

Thursday- Dance session on the playground with Tracey (you may want to bring your trainers)

All the activities are free- it would be great to see you there.
