Children's Mental Health Week activity

26 January 2023 (by Vicky Hopkins (vhopkins))

The week commencing Monday 6th February is Children's Mental Health Week. We will be doing a number of activities through the week, and on the playground after school, which we will send you more information about in the coming week.

As part of our learning in Children's Mental Health Week, we have invited the children to create at home, if they wish to, a picture of themselves as a superhero. They can design themselves based on their superhero qualities and talents. We talked in assembly about how they might want to show for example that they are kind, caring, funny and good at art, and then incorporate these qualities into their superhero picture, or add the words that describe their qualities around the outside of their picture.

If your child would like to have a go, please can they bring their completed superhero pictures into school to show their class during the week of Monday 6th February to show and celebrate. We hope it will give the children an opportunity to share and celebrate the things that make them amazing.

Many thanks

Mrs Hopkins
