Dear parents and carers, 

On behalf of the staff and governors, we would like to express our sincerest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.  She was an inspiration for many of us and we feel this even more deeply after celebrating her life at the Jubilee Big Lunch in May this year. 

We held an assembly yesterday and shared some of the Queen’s achievements with the children.  At the end we sent our thoughts to her family.  To build on this, we will be creating a commemorative piece of art, which will on permanent display, to help us to remember her distinct character and the many achievements during her reign.

This artwork will be completed over the next week and will be displayed in the school when we hold our official opening of the library.  This will now be moved to the end of September. 

We are awaiting information about the arrangements for the school on the day of the funeral; as this has not been confirmed.
