Dear parents and carers,

Healthy Lives Week has been a huge success; with the weather helping us to enjoy Sports Day on Thursday.

The final scores for Sports Day were:

Key Stage 2

A huge thank you to the students from Queen Mary’s College who supported the activities for the day.

Please do remember that photography of other children should not be shared on social media.

Transition Week 18th July

We are putting together the final arrangements for transition week beginning the 18th July.

All of the children will move up to their new classrooms, with their new teachers, for the mornings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please continue to drop your child at their normal place in the morning, as we will swap at 9:30am.

You will find out who your child’s teacher will be on Thursday 11th July.  This is in preparation for the open evening taking place on the same day.  Please do come along to look at your child’s work from this year and to also meet the new teacher and see the classroom.

The open evening is on Thursday 11th July and you can drop in between 3:30pm and 6pm.  No need to book.

Pupils using mobile phones in the playground

We allow pupils in Years 5 and 6 to walk to school on their own.  Only these children should bring mobile phones into the playground.  We are aware that a few pupils are sharing images and videos if they do bring them in.  Please can we ask that you discourage your child from doing this if they do have to bring a phone into school.

Head lice

Please do check your children’s hair this weekend and every five days if you find head lice or eggs.

Basingstoke Festival Art workshops this week – join the parade!

Pupils in Year 2-5 took part in an art workshop this week to help create decorations for the parade in Basingstoke which is opening the art festival this afternoon.  All of the pupils are welcome to attend the parade as a result.

The Basingstoke Parade is on in town on Friday 24th June. Schools are meeting at 4.30pm outside Marks and Spencer food-hall entrance. Look out for our schools sign to meet up, get ready and join in the fun. Or you can watch the parade from top of town and follow it to the amphitheatre for the after party!

Have a wonderful weekend!
