Final details for Friday Jubilee Big Lunch

25 May 2022 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

We are really looking forward to the Jubilee Big Lunch on Friday!  Please remember to bring your own chairs and tables if needed as all of the tables and chairs in school will be used by the teachers for the activities.  We will also be using the gazebos, so please bear this in mind if it is sunny as there will be limited shade.

We have many activities for the children to do in the afternoon and we invite you to stay to enjoy them with your child/ children.  Please note where your child’s year group base in the playground is as this is where your child will need to return to this area for the afternoon registration.    You are also able to take your child home from 2pm if you wish - please speak to your child’s teacher during the activities and they will give you a letter to authorise them leaving (you will need to show this letter to the gate person).

Your child will not need to bring a bag to school on Friday.  They will only need a water bottle and a packed lunch if they are not having a hot dinner or picnic with you.  Please do apply sun cream on them in the morning, as we will be outside all afternoon.  Please remember that we are a nut free school.

Please avoid bringing additional scooters or bike for younger siblings as space on the playground will be limited.  Please also make sure that younger siblings stay with you and are not allowed to wander around the playground as they may get lost or injured. Younger siblings will not be able to individually take part in the activities, as we will not have enough resources for them.  They are welcome to help their school age siblings complete their activities but will not be able to have their own.  Please bring your own craft activities for them to keep them occupied during the event.

We will be serving refreshments in the cabin for parents and children who have their parents with them.  We will also have Jubilee Tea Towels available to order for £5.00 each.  These have been created by the children in the school as a memory of the Jubilee celebrations. There is one for Foundation Stage, Years 1 and 2 and one for Years 3 to 6.   They will also be available to order on Scopay from Friday until Wednesday the 8th June.  All money raised at the event will go towards the new climbing frame.

I am looking forward to seeing you all!
