Dear Parent/Carer,

It is our pleasure to invite parents and younger siblings to our Big Lunch in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 27^th May. 

We hope you are able to come and join us for fun, games, singing and food. This is a momentous occasion for celebrating British Values and a chance to explore the fantastical cultural capital within our local community.

This will be a non-school uniform day. All children and adults have the choice to wear red, white and blue on the day or costumes/colours that represent their cultural heritage.

Please no football kits, superhero or princess costumes. Queen costumes however, are most welcome.

The overall structure of the day will be as follows:

1. Normal lessons in the morning.
2. Lunch and play time
3. Children will re-register for the afternoon in the designated area.
4. Afternoon activities starting at 1:30pm
5. End of the day at usual times.

You are invited to attend for the lunch at the times below and to stay all afternoon to take part in activities.  Please do bring picnic chairs and tables and set up in the playground, upon arrival, as seating will be limited. 

We have reviewed the arrangements since sending out information last week.  All parents can arrive at 11:15 and we will open both gates until 11:45.  From 11:45am only the top gate will be open. 

Foundation Stage children will be brought out at 11:30am.  The other children will be brought out onto the playground at 11:45am.  Parents can collect them from their designated area on the playground (these will be labelled).  Hot meals will be available for parents and children who have ordered one at the following times. 

11:30: Foundation Stage lunches served

11:45: Year 1 lunches served

12:00  Year 2 lunches served

12:15: Year 3 lunches served

12:30: Year 4 lunches served

12:45: Year 5 and 6 lunches served

If your child is in Foundation Stage, Year 1 or 2 or is entitled to a paid meal from the school our school caterers will provide them with a lunchbox containing either of the following options:

Fish and chips with peas        OR      Vegan sausage roll with chips and peas

Dessert- Strawberry trifle with a mini shortbread

You are also invited to order a lunch for your child (costing £2.60) or yourself (costing £3.12).  This will be available on Scopay from Tuesday 17^th May.

Alternatively, you may bring simple picnic food to enjoy for the afternoon with your child/children.   Polite reminder we are a NUT FREE SCHOOL and please do not share food with other children or families without parent permission.

Please could you ensure that you only take photographs of your own children and delete photographs if they have other children in.
