Spring Carnival Update

8 April 2022 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

The weather has been kind to us and the Spring Carnival will go ahead as planned!

The performances will start at 2pm promptly across three performance areas.  You will be given a programme when you arrive.  Please come to the main gate to enter the event.  Please do allow additional time to park safely and not obstruct private property.  The performances will start at 2pm but there will be a procession in the playground prior to this.  Please do not bring additional bikes or scooters into the playground as we will not have space for these.

Parents are able to arrive from 1:45pm and please can I ask that you stand along the perimeter wall and not under the gazebos or canopies.  These areas will be used for performances.

We would prefer that your child stays with their class throughout the event, unless you would like to take them to see their brother or sister perform.  Please talk to your child’s class teacher if you would like to do this.  Children will return back to their classrooms at the end of the day to collect their belongings.  Parents are not permitted to take their child early from school.

Please remember that filming and photography by parents is not allowed during the performances.  The BBC may be covering the story of our journey over the last year and there may be a reported and camera crew on site. This will be well-managed by a member of the leadership team.

For the purposes of filming for the BBC, we will repeat performances with children removed where parents have previously not given permission for photography use outside of the school community. I will be at the main gate this morning if you would like this to be the case for your child on this occasion and have not completed a letter in the past.

I look forward to seeing you this afternoon.
