Weekly Update 10

5 December 2021 (by admin)

Dear Parents and carers,

We have had a calmer end to our week and are happy that Property Services in Hampshire will be continue to look at why the main fuse for the boilers became overloaded.

We are really looking forward to the last two weeks of term and hope that you will also join us for some of the events.  We have the Foundation Stage Nativity taking place this week and also the Winter Fair.  Please see the running order for the performances below:

Running order for the performance

5pm

Foundation Stage and Year 3 pupils

5:30pm

Year 1 and 2 pupils

Choir

6pm

Basingstoke Tappers

Year 5 and 6 pupils

Please could pupils meet Miss Dillon under the canopy at least 10 minutes before the time slot to get ready for the performance.  Children do not need to be in school uniform.

We have only had 1 confirmed case of COVID in the school in the last ten days which is a huge relief.  The Government are reviewing cases over the next few weeks and the school will follow any guidance given.

We are preparing a pack of resources to send home to you in the event that there is a national lockdown following the holidays.  This is as a precaution and not because we have any additional knowledge on the rates of infections.  Please do check that you have the Jotter App on your devices and that we have the correct email address for you.

Finally, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has already bought tickets for the Fair on Wednesday.  Please could we ask that if you have any symptoms, you do not attend and that where possible, you take a lateral flow test.

Please also avoid coming into close contact (within 2 metres) with members of staff at the event.  All attendees will need to wear masks whilst inside the building.

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Miss Kelly Dillon
