Sports Day Update 1

15 June 2021 (by admin)

Dear parents and carers,

Following the announcement made yesterday we are in the process of reviewing the arrangements for Sports day next Thursday.

We will be continuing to have spectators, as this is an outdoor event, but will follow the advice by keeping gathering of groups to less than 30.  This does mean that we can only allow one spectator per child for the morning or the afternoon.  If your children are taking part in both then you are able to swap who attends to watch them.

We will be monitoring the entrance and allowing only one adult in per child.  Please be prepared to give your child’s class name and their name at the entrance.  We will turn away any more than one person per child.  If possible, please avoid bringing younger siblings as there will not be additional space for pushchairs etc.

Please note that this is an optional invitation to parents and if you are shielding or concerned about attending.  We will be taking photographs of the day and sharing these on year group webpages where permission has been granted.

Children will be grouped in their House colours within their year group bubble.  Parents should also group in the same way so that they can follow their child’s group for all of the activities.

We will be asking parents to also maintain social distancing during the entire event.  We will provide temporary toilets and these will be cleaned after the morning session.  You must use the toilet allocated to your child’s house colour (red, green, blue or yellow).

A map of the event and further details will be sent out on Friday to help you to navigate the event.

Thank you in advance and please stay vigilant in protecting our school community.

Best wishes
