COVID-19 Update

24 January 2021 (by admin)

Dear Parents,

We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school. The case is with a member of staff who works in Year 4 and also with some of the pupils in Freddies.

I have discussed the risk of infection with the staff member who was wearing a Visor all of the time.  Despite this, I have still identified children who have had close proximity contact with the staff member and will inform parents in a separate letter.

Unfortuntaely, as all members of the Freddies Staff have been identified as close contacts, Freddies Club will be closed until Sunday 31st January 2021.

The small number of children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 10 days. The first day of the 10 days was on Thursday 21st January and the last day will be on the 30th January.

We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.

 Kind regards

Miss Kelly Dillon
