End of Year Photograph

2 July 2020 (by admin)

Dear Parents,

We are really looking forward to the end of term and have decided to put together a number of events:

Firstly, we are planning to put together a final year group photograph which is a variation on the normal end of year photograph.  A photographer will be in school on Thursday 9th July to take group photographs to create a year group montage.  The photographs of individual groups will be put together to create a high quality A3 or A2 photograph similar to the one below.

To do this we will be asking children to give the names of two other children they would like to be in the photograph with.  We will then place the children into groups of 4 to have their photograph taken.  The children in the bubbles will not need to be socially distant from other children in their bubble.

The children at home will also be invited in to have their photograph taken with social distancing measures put into place.  You can imagine that this will be complicated but not impossible!

Please can we ask that if you would like your child to be in the photograph that you inform their teacher via a Zoom session over the next few days.  We will assume that you do not wish your child to be in the photograph if you do not inform your child’s teacher.

On Thursday 9th July, Miss Dillon and Mrs Hopkins will be at the main gate in the school playground and will be organising children into smaller groups to have their photograph taken.  Your child will need to attend the session allocated to their year group.  Please do not enter the playground with your child as we will be adhering to social distancing guidelines during this time.

If your child or anyone in the house has symptoms, they must not attend the session.

The photographs will be available to order online at http://www.capturenow.co.uk/studio/ and you will be sent a code to order these once the photographs are uploaded.

The sessions for the year groups are:

9:15am           Foundation Stage

10am              Year 1

10:40am        Year 3

11:20am        Year 4

12pm              Year 5

1pm                Year 2

1:40pm           Year 6

Children will need to be in school uniform and if possible wearing black footwear (please do not worry if not as we can crop their feet out).

Please note that there will only be two Zoom lessons for the day and the timings may be altered slightly to allow travel and time to organise the photographs safely.  Please check the Zoom page on the website for timings for individual year groups.

Kind regards

Miss Kelly Dilon
